Here’s some good news to start off the new year: First Story Cafe has recently opened on 5 Jan 2023 at 149 Serangoon North Avenue 1. First Story Cafe serves all-day brunch and offers desserts such as Belgian waffles and ice cream.
First Story Cafe is actually a flagship cafe by the popular social enterprise cafe brand, Foreword Coffee Roasters. First started out in 2017, Foreword Coffee Roasters set out with a vision of empowering those with disabilities and special needs through employment opportunities.
This vision is fulfilled at First Story Cafe as they hire those with disabilities, special needs and mental health needs as employees.
Their All-day Brunch option, which consists of a sourdough slice, seared half tomato and mesclun salad, has 3 options: Avocado (S$12.90), Smoked Salmon (S$12.90) and First Story Breakfast (S$18.90) which is a combination of both salmon and avocado options.
There are also rice bowls options such as Teriyaki Chicken (S$10.90), Pulled Beef Gochujang (S$11.90), Honey Soy Beef (S$11.90) and Miso Salmon (S$12.90). Each rice bowls come with an onsen egg, mixed grilled vegetables and Japanese rice.
