These are the top 10 beauty products we crushed on in February

Every month, HelloGiggles will be presenting 10 of our Beauty Editor’s beauty product crushes — everything from skincare, to shampoo, to lipstick. Check back at the end of every month for a new roundup of products the HelloGiggles team tried and fell in love with, the best of the very best, and newest releases we’ll never be able to live without.

1. Best Moisturizer: GlamGlow Volcasmic Moisturizer, $54

A post shared by GLAMGLOW (@glamglow) on Feb 19, 2017 at 9:49am PST

When it comes to skincare, it can be pretty hard to pry ourselves away from our go-to moisturizers in favor of something new, but trust when I say that this new Volcasmic Moisturizer by GlamGlow is heaven-sent. I have not been *THIS* obsessed with a moisturizer before. Because it has a matte, balm-like finish, it immediately absorbs into the skin, making it the perfect product to use as a base for your makeup. Even though you can use it any time of day, I like it best as a daytime moisturizer right before applying my foundation. The light, peachy scent is probably my favorite part — it’s not overpowering, but sweet enough to make you want to have dessert for breakfast.

2. Best Eyeshadow Palette: Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, $49

Too Faced really hit it big with their massive peach-inspired collection, but IMHO, the star of the show is their Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette. It comes with 18 shades that work well for a multitude of eye makeup — ideal for a toned-down neutral vibe, but also buildable enough for a bolder, evening look. I have literally been using this baby every single day. And with all Too Faced palettes, it smells so incredibly delicious.

3. Best Mascara: Smith & Cult Lash Dance, $28

Mascara can be a pretty personal thing — while some brushes and formulas are a dream come true for some people, it can be whatever to others. However, Lash Dance has impressed every single person I know who has used it. The brush is hourglass-shaped, so each lash is easily coated in the formula. Ta-da! Bambi eyes in no time. I’m also in love with this chic gold tube. But seriously, who needs lash extensions when you have a tube of this in your purse?

4. Best Fragrance: MAC Cosmetics Candy Yum Yum, $57

When I first heard MAC was coming out with fragrances inspired by their top-selling lipsticks, I thought that was such a genius move. As someone who loves smelling like dessert, I was stoked for the perfume version of their electrifying pink Candy Yum Yum lipstick. It’s been giving my usual scent (Pink Sugar) a run for its money. If you’re someone who LOVES smelling like a candy shop, you’ll totally be into this one.

5. Best Multipurpose Product: Kat Von D Beauty Alchemist Holographic Palette, $32

When Kat Von D was giving us sneak peeks of her mysterious Alchemist palette, I could not help but be intrigued. And when it finally came out, it did not disappoint, THANK GAWD. There are so many reasons why this one keeps selling out so fast. The packaging is stunning and mystical, but I can’t believe how versatile it is. Not only can you sweep this otherworldly shimmer on your cheekbones and lids, but you can also instantly transform your lip look by applying it on top of your existing lipstick. It’s truly magical.

6. Best Lip Care Product: Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub, $4.99

As many of us know, Chapstick is a classique, tried and true brand. I’ve been particular obsessed with one of their newer products, their Total Hydration Lip Scrub. Since I wear matte lipsticks like they are going out of style, having a good lip scrub around is imperative. But having one in my daily routine is awesome because this kind of scrub isn’t too involved like a night of masking. Just pop this baby on your lips, wash off, and go! (Or in my case, go and apply more matte lipstick.)

7. Best Skincare Product: Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Baby Facial, $80

First of all — weird name, right? But who doesn’t want skin as soft as a baby’s?! That is literally what I got after using this product that is meant to be an at-home version of a facial. I have to mention that my skin isn’t very sensitive and can take on a lot. While Baby Facial incorporates a lot of natural ingredients like green tea matcha, pumpkin ferment extract, and chickpea flour, it has a high percentage (25%) of AHAs, (alpha hydroxy acids), so some people might find it to be too harsh for them. My advice for the rest is, if you are serious about getting into good skincare this year, this is the one product you should consider splurging on.

8. Best New Beauty Tool: Sigma Beauty 3DHD Blender, $15

With so many different kinds of makeup blenders on the market, it’s hard to figure out which one is best for your makeup process. Thankfully, Sigma used their scientific background to save us time and money by designing a really smart, multipurpose blender. Instead of having different kinds of makeup blenders for contouring, applying foundation, or adding concealer underneath the eyes, the 3DHD Blender’s specially angled design allows you to easily get into every nook and cranny of your face. Prepare to get obsessed.

9. Best Hair Product: Kristin Ess Strand Strengthening Reconstructive Moisture Mask, $14

Kristin Ess, who we know as the hair goddess behind Lauren Conrad and Lucy Hale’s looks blessed us and our hair with the sweetest gift, aka her haircare line. Let me count the ways why I love thee: #1, at $14, it’s affordable, #2, it’s easily accessible. (Hi, it’s at Target.) #3, the packaging is pretty, and #4, the Moisture Mask has brought my processed hair back to life. You know when you start hanging out with a new friendcrush and you can’t imagine how you ever lived your life before them? That is how I feel about this mask.

10. Best Lipstick: Bésame Wild Orchid Lipstick, $22

The vintage-inspired makeup line, Bésame Cosmetics, has been a staple of my lipstick collection for so long, and with good reason. Not only are their lipsticks stunning, heavily pigmented, and long-lasting, they also are gorgeous AF. I mean, these red and gold tubes? SWOON. Their latest, Wild Orchid, is a stunning pinkish red that looks amazing on so many different kinds of skin tones. Like with their other lipsticks, it’s a replica of a vintage shade. This one was inspired by a 1952 shade that was worn by runway models. I feel SO glam in this.
