Tony Leung wins 2nd place at sailing competition
25 May – If acting is not panning out for Tony Leung Chiu Wai anymore, at least the actor has sailing to fall back on.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actor and his team recently came in second at the Spring Regatta 2018 held at Victoria Harbour, with his boat Davinloong defeating 90 other sailing teams in the competition.
Speaking to the media before and after the race, Tony said that he was not focused on winning but the experience of competing with the other teams.
"It was exhilarating. I love the sea and the nature. I have always wanted to sail a boat, even as a child. But it was not until last year that I had the chance to practice," he said.
Tony also revealed that he was originally set to participate in a sailing competition in Switzerland last year, but decided to forgo to focus on filming the new movie, "Theory of Ambition".
As for his future sailing events, the actor revealed that he will be joining the European Regatta at the end of the month in Hungary.
"I hope to enjoy the experience and learn something more from other seasoned sailors," he added.
