Tony Hung lends a helping hand to children through UNICEF

30 Mar - Tony Hung recently lent a helping hand to the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF in its mission to help keep children and their families safe amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who visited families to distribute anti-epidemic necessities recently, stated that he now has a deeper understanding on the situation concerning children from poor families.

"A lot of them would not go out, afraid that they will be infected with the virus and bring them home to the family. They were also afraid that they would rub their eyes or are unable to clean themselves," he said.

Tony stated that a lot of these children have been stuck at home since the Lunar New Year and they couldn't go to the park nor play with friends.

"This has a great impact on the children's psyche," he added.

The actor stated that though there is nothing he can do to stop the coronavirus, he was happy to help them with providing them with face masks, hand sanitisers and other disinfectants.
