Toni Gonzaga not hopeful about John Lloyd Cruz's return

The actress will not keep high hopes for the actor to make a comeback to their long-running sitcom

16 Mar – Toni Gonzaga recently confessed that she is not hopeful about the possibility of co-star John Lloyd Cruz making a comeback to their long-running sitcom, "Home Sweetie Home".

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress who is still going strong with the help of the rest of the cast and the new additions to the sitcom, shared that she is open to whatever that is going to happen and that she will take it one day at a time.

Cruz, who plays Gonzaga's husband Romeo in the sitcom, has been away for a few months now since announcing his indefinite hiatus from showbiz.

According to Push, when asked the last time she and Cruz last talked, Gonzaga said that it was last September, when they were taping an episode of the show.

"I remember it because it was [my son] Seve's birthday. After that, we didn't hear anything about him anymore," she said.

Gonzaga said she personally didn't try to contact Cruz, especially since it was at a time where the actor was surrounded with controversies surrounding his behaviour and relationship with Ellen Adarna.

As to whether she has heard about Cruz's blossoming relationship with Adarna, who was also part of "Home Sweetie Home", Gonzaga said that she has heard about it later on, but has nothing to say about the topic.
