10 Nov – Actor Tirso Cruz III has been nominated in the Best Actor in Supporting Category at the upcoming 22nd Asian TV Awards.
As reported on PEP, the actor has been nominated for his role in the Kapamilya drama, "Wildflower", where he plays the ruthless Congressman Julio Ardiente.
Cruz will be competing against other nominees from other Asian countries, including Singapore-based Taiwanese actor Akio Chen ("The Teenage Psychic"), Singapore's Sani Hussin ("Firasat 2"), and Krissanapoom of "I Hate You, I Love You" (Thailand).
On the other hand, it was revealed that reality singing competition, "The Voice Kids" has been nominated in the Best Adaptation of an Existing Format category.
The show, which features mentors like Sharon Cuneta and Lea Salonga, will be competing against "The Amazing Race Asia Season 5" (Singapore), season 2 of "Sing Your Face Off Thailand" (Thailand), "Rising Star India" (India), "How Do I
Look? Asia Season 2" (Singapore), and "Saturday Night Live Korea" (South Korea).
The awards ceremony will be held on 1 December.
