It turns out having a flattering profile photo and a witty bio isn’t the only factor in winning dates online, it also has a lot to do with what your name is.

New data from Tinder has revealed that for singles in Australia, certain names get many more matches than others.

Looking at the list of top ten most swiped-right names over the last 12 months, Liv came out on top for the ladies and Oli for the men – which isn’t really unexpected given both Olivia and Oliver were also on the list of most popular baby names of 2018.

However, the rest of the mix certainly came with some surprises.

For instance, many seem to be attracted to names with international flare with female names like India and Paris ranking highly, along with the French male name Antoine.

On the other hand, some people are still partial to traditional Australian names like Lachie, Hunter and Harrison all making the cut as well.
