Tina Yen says leaving "Lady Commander" was unexpected

25 Jun – Taiwanese actress Tina Yen recently took to social media to inform her fans that she will no longer be involved in her variety show, "Lady Commander".

As reported on Epoch Times, the actress who has hosted the show alongside Sam Tseng since 2014 before taking a break earlier this year to give birth to daughter Tammy, said that the news of her departure surprised her as well, but that she has already accepted the decision.

"Looking back at the three years [I was with the show] I have done my best in doing my job in each and every episode. Even though the ratings were high, there were still room for improvement and progress. But I always cherish and work hard in every episode," wrote Tina.

The actress said though leaving the show was not what she wished for, she is still grateful that she has been given a more precious gift - her baby daughter Tammy.

"It is often said that the end may represent the beginning of something new, and I hope that I can present you with more projects, more surprises, and hopefully you can continue to give me your support and encouragement, okay?" she added.

According to previous reports, the show acknowledged Tina's work in the show, but stated that the production wanted some changes and innovation to ensure its stability and maintain its freshness.

Tina will be replaced by "Just For You" actress Pa Yu. Sam will remain the main host.
