Almost nothing says "summer in the South" than a yummy, chilled julep. However, the sugar that gets added to most mint julep recipes is typically refined, and not in the way that means "Southern elegance."Cheers to Lipton Iced Tea, who ponied up with Eron Plevan, head mixologist at Louisville's Gold Bar, to create this modern, better-for-you twist on the classic julep recipe. This recipe looks to honey—not sugar—for its sweet character. Plus, if you drop in a generous scoop of the crushed ice this calls for, you can dial back a little extra on the iced tea's 18 grams of sugar, too. This drink also goes about a quarter lighter on liquor than a lot of juleps do, which might make this a friendly choice to someone who's just finding out whether they're besties with bourbon.Sign up for the Eat This, Not That! newsletter to get daily recipes and food news in your inbox! “He knows exactly what’s coming down the road and he knows how to avoid it,” Cohen says. “He’s going to start talking: 1, 2, 3″ During an exclusive CNN interview discussing the recent raid on Rudy Giuliani’s home, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen had a blunt reality check for Trump’s former right-hand man, calling Giuliani an “idiot” who drinks too much and has erratic behavior. He went on to maintain that “there is no relationship, nor has there ever been, between Rudy and Donald,” explaining that prior to Trump becoming President, the two didn’t like each other. “So do I think Rudy will give up Donald in a heartbeat?” Cohen asked. “Absolutely.” Giuliani is being investigated as the FBI looks for evidence from the Ukraine scandal in which he reportedly tried to ask the country to dig up dirt on Joe Biden. Among the many moments in the interview where Cohen blasted Giuliani, he called him out for being nervous about the investigation, and implied that’s for a good reason – as a former U.S. attorney, he knows what he could be up against. “He’s been shady for a long time and what you’re going to find is it’s going to expand the investigation into other areas that Rudy doesn’t even possibly remember. Or if he does remember, he certainly doesn’t want it released,” Cohen said. When asked if the ex-lawyer had any advice for Giuliani, Cohen couldn’t help but laugh, responding “he knows exactly what’s coming down the road, he knows how to avoid what the ultimate consequence is going to be. I believe he’s going to start talking 1, 2, 3.” And he had no sympathy for Giuliani’s treatment, having had his own experience with Trump and his “loyalty.” “What I told him was that Donald Trump doesn’t care about anyone or anything, that he will be the next one to be thrown under the bus. And that’s exactly what’s going to happen,” said Cohen. Watch the video below. "What I told him was that Donald Trump doesn't care about anyone or anything, that he will be the next one to be thrown under the bus," says Michael Cohen of Rudy Giuliani."We have no idea how expansive that this investigation is going to [be]… because Rudy's an idiot." pic.twitter.com/nzWNguf9t1— CNN Newsroom (@CNNnewsroom) April 29, 2021 Read original story Michael Cohen Says ‘Idiot’ Rudy Giuliani Will Flip on Trump ‘in a Heartbeat’ (Video) At TheWrap

Actor will star in “Black Adam” next Noah Centineo will no longer be playing He-Man/Prince Adam in Sony and Mattel Films’ “Masters of the Universe,” an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap. A spokesperson for Centineo confirmed that the actor is no longer part of the project, although no further reason was given. TheWrap has reached out to Sony regarding the status of the project, given that Centineo joined the film two years ago. In 2019, TheWrap exclusively reported that the “To All The Girls I’ve Loved Before” actor would take the lead role in “Masters of the Universe. Aaron and Adam Nee are set to direct from a script rewritten by “Iron Man” screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. The Nee Brothers also have screenwriting credit. The project was previously written by David S. Goyer, who is also an executive producer. Based on Mattel’s hugely successful 1980s toy line, “Masters of the Universe” follows Prince Adam, heir to the throne of planet Eternia, who uses the magical Power Sword to transform into the heroic warrior He-Man. With the help of his allies Teela, Man-at-Arms, Orko and The Sorceress, He-Man defends the kingdom from the evil wizard Skeletor (so-named because his face is an exposed skull), who seeks to gain control of Castle Grayskull, source of He-Man’s powers. “Masters of the Universe” was previously adapted as a live-action film in 1987, with Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor, and featuring Courtney Cox in one of her first film roles. Centineo will next star in “Black Adam” as Atom Smasher, opposite Dwayne Johnson and Aldis Hodge. He is represented by CAA, Definition Entertainment and Narrative PR. Collider first reported the news. Read original story Noah Centineo No Longer Playing He-Man in ‘Masters of the Universe’ At TheWrap

Colin Firth stars as the novelist convicted of murdering his wife, Kathleen Peterson Toni Collette has been cast in HBO Max’s scripted “The Staircase” limited series as Kathleen Peterson, the wife of novelist Michael Peterson, whose suspicious death was the subject of the hit docuseries of the same name. She joins Colin Firth in the series from Antonio Campos and Maggie Cohn. Firth stars as Michael Peterson, who was convicted in 2003 of murdering his wife and spent eight years in prison. In 2011, he was granted a new trial, but before it could start, he submitted to an Alford plea to the reduced charge of manslaughter. He was sentenced to time already served and was set free. Collette’s Kathleen is described as “a corporate executive, mother and stepmother of five.” The eight-episode limited series is an adaptation of the original docuseries directed by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade, which was first released in 2004 and then updated with information in 2013 and again in 2018, when it was released as a Netflix documentary. Campos will direct six of the eight episodes and co-write the series with Cohn. The series is a co-production between HBO Max and Annapurna Television. “This has been a project I have been working on in one way or another since 2008,” Campos said when the series was first picked up last month. “It’s been a long and winding road, but well worth the wait to be able to find partners like HBO Max, Annapurna, co-showrunner Maggie Cohn and the incredible Colin Firth to dramatize such a complex true-life story.” Collette is represented by Jen Turner at Finley Management, United Management and CAA. Fox News led when GOP Sen. Tim Scott gave his party’s post-speech response President Joe Biden’s first congressional address Wednesday night was a big win for MSNBC, which beat CNN and Fox News in total average viewers, while CNN won the cable ratings war in the advertiser-coveted age demographic of 25 to 54. From 9 p.m. ET to 10:15 p.m. ET, MSNBC brought in an average of 3.941 million total viewers, of whom 656,000 were in the demo. CNN nabbed 3.180 million, of whom 879,000 were in the demo. Fox News was in third place among the major cable networks, pulling in 2.920 million with 586,000 in the demo. In total, across cable and broadcast, 22.604 million viewers watched the event from around 9 p.m. to 10:15 p.m., down significantly from when then-president Donald Trump first addressed Congress in March 2017. Trump drew in a little under 48 million viewers. At 10:30 p.m. ET, Republican Sen. Tim Scott delivered his party’s response to Biden’s address. During his 15-minute speech, Fox News beat CNN and MSNBC in average total viewers, bringing in 3.197 million compared to CNN’s 2.080 million and MSNBC’s 2.725 million. CNN had the most demo viewers, with an average of 623,000. Fox News averaged 547,000 demo viewers while MSNBC got 434,000. For comparison, Fox News grabbed 10.765 million overall viewers during Trump’s first congressional address in March 2017, which lasted from 9:15 to 10:15 p.m. and was slightly shorter than Biden’s Wednesday evening presentation. CNN averaged a total of 3.944 million at that time and MSNBC brought in an average of 2.683 million viewers. Biden’s speech laid out his administration’s goals in tackling police reform and launching his American Families Plan. He touched on the American coronavirus response and outlook. The event also made a little history thanks to Vice President Kamala Harris and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: For the first time in U.S. history, two women stood behind the president during a joint session of Congress as Vice President and speaker of the House. The podcast host previously told his listeners that “healthy” people don’t need to get the COVID vaccine Joe Rogan told listeners of his podcast on Thursday that he wasn’t an anti-vaxxer but doubled down on his incorrect claims that young and “healthy” people don’t need to get vaccinated against COVID-19. “I am not an anti-vaxx person,” Rogan said during the latest episode of Spotify’s “The Joe Rogan Experience.” “In fact, I said I believe they are safe and I encourage many people to take them.” “I am not a doctor. I am a f—ing moron. I am a cage-fighting commentator,” he added. “I am not a respected source of information, even for me. But I at least try to be honest about what I am saying.” But he also repeated some of his false claims from last Friday’s episode of his podcast which drew widespread backlash, including from none other than Dr. Anthony Fauci. “I just said if you’re a young healthy person, you don’t need it,” Rogan said. “Their argument was you need it for other people. But that’s a different conversation. And yes, that makes sense.” On Wednesday, Fauci specifically addressed Rogan’s comments from last week’s podcast and called them “incorrect.” “You’re worried about yourself getting infected and the likelihood that you’re not going to get any symptoms, but you can get infected — and will get infected — if you put yourself at risk,” Fauci told Savannah Guthrie during an NBC News program about the pandemic. “Even if you don’t have any symptoms, you are propagating the outbreak because it is likely that you — even if you have no symptoms — that you may inadvertently and innocently then infect someone else who might infect someone who really could have a problem with a severe outcome.” Spotify, which hosts Rogan’s podcast, has not responded to inquiries about Rogan’s vaccine comments. Pop star’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot during the robbery on Feb. 24 The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested five suspects in connection with the robbery of Lady Gaga’s two French bulldogs as well as the shooting of Gaga’s dog walker, the LAPD told TheWrap. Police said in a statement that three of the suspects were charged with robbery and attempted murder. One suspect faces one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and a felon carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, while a second faces one count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury. The suspects are accused of grabbing the dogs and fleeing in a vehicle. Two suspects were additionally charged with accessories after the initial crime. One of the suspects involved reported that she found the dogs and responded to the reward claim of $500,000 listed by Lady Gaga. Detectives then established she had a connection to one of the suspects. Though the dogs were first returned two days after the robbery, AP reported that Capt. Jonathan Tippett believed the woman who dropped off the dogs appeared to be “uninvolved and unassociated” with the attack. Police added that detectives do not believe the suspects knew the identity of the dogs’ owner. But evidence suggests the suspects knew the great value of the breed of dogs and was the motivation for the robbery. “This was a brazen street crime that left a man seriously wounded,” Los Angeles County district attorney George Gascón said in a statement. “We have alleged very serious charges in this case and have faith that justice will be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court.” Gaga’s dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot on Feb. 24 while walking three of the star’s bulldogs while she was in Italy filming a movie. Two of the dogs, Koji and Gustav, were taken in the incident, but were later found unharmed and returned to Gaga. Fischer was listed in critical condition following the attack but is expected to make a full recovery, according to his family. Following the attack, Gaga released a statement (via People, which first reported the arrests) about Fischer’s heroics as he fought to protect the dogs. “I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family,” Gaga wrote. “You’re forever a hero.” Read original story 5 Arrested in Shooting of Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker, Theft of Her Bulldogs At TheWrap
