The banquet, which would have been planned months in advance, was a lavish affair with Trump, his family and over a dozen members of the Royal Family joined by over 170 guests.
Each handmade dish the guests ate was created as closely to the event as possible. Guests started with a steamed fillet of halibut with watercress mousse, asparagus spears and chervil sauce.
This was followed by saddle of new season Windsor lamb, with herb stuffing, spring vegetables and port sauce.

The royal chefs would have presented the Queen with four different menu options for her to select from.
President Trump is renowned for having a sweet tooth, so the Queen’s dessert choices are particularly important.
He often talks about his favourite Mar-a-logo chocolate cake, describing it as “the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake”.
The Queen opted to steer clear of chocolate cake this evening.

Instead, the pudding she chose was a strawberry sable with lemon verbena cream – made of crisp biscuits, smooth pastry cream and fresh strawberries.
To finish the meal off, they enjoyed coffee and petit fours.
As well as a sweet tooth, the President is known to have a penchant for fast-food. The banquet was a far cry from that.
The President enjoyed his meal after a long day of engements. Earlier, he met Prince Harry for the first time following Meghan’s “nasty” comments.
This trip has been widely speculated about, particularly after Trump’s inappropriate comments about the Royal Family in the past.
He arrived in the UK this morning for a three-day state visit. Although he has visited the UK since being President, this is the first of an official nature.
