The 'Star Wars: Force Awakens' Cast Shows Us How to Properly Play With Their Action Figures

You’re never too old to play with action figures, something we’ll believe until we’re kissing our Black Series 6-inch Stormtrooper Luke Skywalker figure goodbye from our death beds.

And there’s a new Star Wars movie (maybe you’ve heard), which means a new cast, and new action figures modeled after these fine-looking folks. So at the press day for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we asked cast members including Harrison Ford, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, and Adam Driver to demonstrate how to properly play with the miniature plastic versions of themselves (watch above). Yes, if you want to get crude with it, we asked them to play with themselves.

While Ford assessed the various incarnations of Little Han Solo we’ve seen over the years (“Too small,” “Too buff,” “He’s got a strong nose, I admire that”), Boyega (Finn) showed us how to make him properly run, and Ridley (Rey) used hers to deliver her favorite line from the movie (“I’m no one”).

And then there was Oscar Isaac. “You just get this guy, you lube him up,” he said. “Or maybe don’t lube him up, I don’t know. Maybe that’s your thing. Or [extending his figures arm] maybe just this piece right here…. Maybe you’re an uptight kind of guy. Take it easy at first and then see where that goes.”

Yep, Poe Dameron just went there.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens Dec. 18.
