The Spice Girls have reunited for a new movie.

The girl group are teaming up with Paramount to create a new animated feature.

Fans will also be happy to know that all five members - Melanie Brown (Scary), Emma Bunton (Baby), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty), Geri Halliwell (Ginger) and Victoria Beckham (Posh) - will lend their voices to the production.

Paramount Animation president Mireille Soria confirmed the news during an announcement regarding the studio’s film slate and said it is in early development.

“[The Spice Girls] had an idea that we've been developing," Soria tells The Hollywood Reporter. "They are very involved."

Simon Fuller, who founded the girl group, will be producing and Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith are writing the screenplay.

Classic Spice Girls tunes will be used in the animation as well as new songs, according to THR.

The last time the group appeared in a movie together was the 1997 hit Spice World in which they played themselves.

The film, written by Simon Fuller’s brother Kim Fuller, was made on a budget of £19.7 million and made £118.6 million at the box office.

The film had a pretty stellar ensemble cast featuring Richard E. Grant, Roger Moore, Meat Loaf and Alan Cummings, Dominic West, Bob Hoskins, Elton John, Jennifer Saunders, Elvis Costello and Bob Geldof.

Getting all the members back together was certainly an achievement after Beckham refused to reunite for a concert tour.

Chisholm, Bunton, Horner (nee Halliwell) and Brown are currently on their summer stadium tour.

The new Spice Girls film is expected for released in 2020.
