SINGAPORE — Grammy-winning electronic dance music duo The Chainsmokers have cancelled their upcoming concert in Singapore.

Concert promoters Live Nation announced on its website and social media pages on Tuesday (18 June) that, due to “unforeseen production circumstances”, The Chainsmokers’ World War Joy Asia Tour concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 21 August is cancelled.

Details about ticket refunds will be released within this week.

The duo, who scored worldwide hits this decade such as “Don’t Let Me Down”, “Something Just Like This” and “Closer”, also cancelled their Manila gig on 15 August.

Both the Singapore and Manila gigs were removed from their official website. However, their 23 August concert at the Asia World Expo Center in Hong Kong remains on their tour dates.

The Chainsmokers – comprising American DJs and producers Alex Pall and Drew Taggart – have performed several times in Singapore, including at the Formula One race weekend in 2017 and at Zouk Soundsystem in 2015.
