The Brent Is Back - New Trailer For Ricky Gervais's David Brent: Life On The Road

Raising cringe-humour almost to an art form, the new trailer for Ricky Gervais’s ‘David Brent: Life On The Road’ has landed.

Reprising his role as former paper merchant manager Brent, we rejoin him 15 years after the events of 'The Office’, as he is about to head out on the road of a self-funded tour with his band, Foregone Conclusion.

“On the road is where I really come alive,” he explains, while putting the hotel hairdryer through its paces.

And then there’s the inevitable mishap with a t-shirt gun.

He’s joined by Dom, the band’s rapper played by poet and comedian Doc Brown, and Andy Burroughs, the former drummer from Razorlight and We Are Scientists in his first acting role.

Also on the bill are Jo Hartley, Tom Basden, and 'Phone Shop’ star Andrew Brooke, who plays Jezza, Brent’s new nemesis.

The film, which is being released on Netflix in the US, hits screens on August 19 across the UK.
