Taylor Swift's 2013 Groping Deposition Released

From Cosmopolitan

After former radio DJ David Mueller filed a suit against Taylor Swift in 2015 claiming he had been fired from his job after she’d accused him of sexually assaulting her at a meet-and-greet, the singer filed a countersuit against him - and as of Sunday, a transcript of her deposition in the case has been made public.

In her deposition, Taylor describes the June 2013 incident in detail, explaining how Mueller allegedly reached his hand up her skirt and groped her.

"Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek and no matter how much I scooted over it was still there," she said, according to Billboard. "It was completely intentional, I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life."

"I remember being frantic, distressed, feeling violated in a way I had never experienced before," she continued. "A meet-and-greet is supposed to be a situation where you’re thanking people for coming, you’re supposed to be welcoming people into your home, which is the arena for that day, and for someone to violate that hospitality in that way, I was completely stunned."

According to multiple sources, the judge in the case agreed to "keep from the public" a photo from the meet-and-greet that supposedly supports Taylor’s claims, arguing, "The widespread dissemination of this image might significantly complicate jury selection." However, despite Taylor’s efforts to keep other evidence from the case private, the judge ruled it "entirely ordinary and mundane," which is why the deposition is now public.

Previously, Taylor has said that if she wins the case, she will donate any money she receives to "charitable organizations dedicated to protecting women from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard."
