Taylor Swift Returned to the Country Music Scene and Had the Best Time With Elle King and Kelsea Ballerini

Taylor Swift returned to her country music roots on Wednesday while hanging out in Nashville, Tennessee, with some of the biggest artists in the genre.

The 10-time GRAMMY winner looked like she was having an epic night partying with "Ex's & Oh's" singer Elle King and Swift's bestie, Kelsea Ballerini (who, incidentally, recorded a similarly titled song, "XO").

King shared a few snapshots to Instagram on Wednesday, writing, "When you wish your squad was like this," and "Blondes have more fun."

The talented trio, who met up backstage at the 50th Annual CMA Awards, kept the party going with a "post-show apartment hangggg," as Swift wrote in the caption to a pic she posted to Instagram after the star-studded event.

King's fiancé, Andrew "Fergie" Ferguson, and Ballerini's boyfriend, musician Morgan Evans, joined up with the gals for the festivities and posed for a beaming snapshot.

King later shared the same pic, writing that she had "the BEST night ever!"

Swift, who presented the Entertainer of the Year award to Garth Brooks during the closing moments of the evening, also snapped a backstage pic with Little Big Town, whom she congratulated for winning Vocal Group of the Year.

Congratulations on CMA Vocal Group of the Year and the #1 song on iTunes @littlebigtown 💋💋💋💋

She also congratulated them on having "the #1 song on iTunes," which happens to be the single "Better Man," which she wrote for them.

While Swift's appearance at the CMA Awards was somewhat unexpected, it was hardly the show's only big surprise. Beyonce teamed up with the Dixie Chicks for a rendition of her song, "Daddy Lessons," off her hit album, Lemonade, in a performance that was announced just hours before the show kicked off.
