A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about their relationship.
ICYMI, Taylor Swift is really, really happy with her longtime beau, Joe Alwyn. They’re writing songs, quarantining together, and just living their best lives. They’ve been private about their relationship thus far, which is totally understandable. Remember when Taylor got shamed for dating for, like, a decade?? Yeah, not cool. So she’s protecting her relationship from the public this time around. But a new source recently told Entertainment Tonight that Tay might be ready to share a little bit more about her life with Joe. Which, like, yay! I could really use a happy distraction right about now.
“Taylor has gotten more and more comfortable being public with Joe and letting fans in on their romance in a way that she feels is still protecting it,” the source said. “She loves Joe so much and, of course, is not trying to hide their relationship, but she prefers to keep specific details private.”
The insider continued, “Taylor and Joe are in it for the long haul and totally see a future with each other. They don’t need outside praise or attention and are so fulfilled just being with each other and growing together as a couple.”
Last November, Taylor sat down with Paul McCartney to talk about music and romantic life for an issue of Rolling Stone. She candidly explained the struggles of being in the spotlight while dating someone who has a “grounded way of living.”
She said:
“I, oftentimes, in my anxieties, can control how I am as a person and how normal I act and rationalize things, but I cannot control if there are 20 photographers outside in the bushes and what they do and if they follow our car and if they interrupt our lives. I can’t control if there’s going to be a fake weird headline about us in the news tomorrow.”
