Taron Egerton: Kingsman 2′s Finished Filming; Will ‘Blow Everyone Away’

2015′s ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ surprised everyone when it was greeted with hugely positive reviews and a generally positive reception from cinema goers.

Couple its great reception with around $250 million of solid profit, it was inevitable we’d see more British spy adventuring in a sequel. Now, as ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ has just finished filming, its star Taron Egerton has significantly hyped it up. “It’s great, man. We just finished. It’s going to blow everyone away,” he told ETOnline

And let’s be honest, the first film, also directed by the returning Matthew Vaughn, was pretty spectacular - especially that church sequence - so the sequel must be rather special.

The first film starred Egerton alongside Colin Firth, Sam L. Jackson, and Mark Strong and managed to sufficiently poke fun at the James Bond type movies whilst retaining its own identity and credibility.

The followup not only brings back Egerton as Eggsy, but Strong and, interestingly,Firth is back (although in what capacity is unclear). They join a plethora of acting talent alongside Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Pedro Pascal, Halle Berry, and Channing Tatum.

“He was only around for a couple of weeks, he’s such a great guy. He’s such a great guy and he’s brilliant in the movie. He’ll be great,” says Egerton about Tatum, who’s appearing in a currently unknown role.

Either way, with Egerton bigging the film up and the impressive cast is only going to heighten everyone’s already high expectations, so let’s hope that Vaughn delivers.
