Tarek El Moussa Breaks Silence on Ex-Wife Christina Anstead's Recent Split
In the almost three weeks since Christina Anstead announced her separation from Ant Anstead, her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa has been busy with his own love life. The 39-year-old home flipper expert has been in full-on wedding planning mode with fiancée Heather Rae Young. The couple also bought their first house together, which they are currently renovating before they move in.
However, being that El Moussa co-parents his two children and continues to work with Anstead on Flip or Flop, she remains a fixed part of his life. This week, E! asked El Moussa what his thoughts were on his ex-wife's separation to Wheeler Dealers host Ant Anstead."I prefer just to stay out of it," he told the outlet.
While he is staying quiet on his Anstead's most recent life change, he understands why fans are so interested in how he feels about the matter.
"For most fans, I think [Flip or Flop is] more than just a real estate show," he said. "People have watched kids born, people have watched us raise kids, they watched us get divorced, they know us. They've been following our lives for almost 10 years," he said. "They feel like they're a part of it, which makes sense."
Despite his long history with Anstead, who he was married to from 2009 to 2016, El Moussa is over the moon about Young — and not dwelling on the past. "Being with Heather in general is an adventure, and I'm just excited to spend the rest of my life with her," he said during the most recent episode of his show Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa.
While he'll share Flip or Flop-related images and/or videos featuring Anstead to his social media accounts, the rest of his posts are with Young, his kids, or pertain to his business. In terms of the wedding, El Moussa and Young will not be inviting any exes.
Earlier this year, Anstead revealed that she has a good relationship with Young and that they would even exchange recipes over text. Flip or Flop starring El Moussa and Anstead returns for its ninth season on October 15 on HGTV.
