Taraji P. Henson has tapped Vera Wang to make her wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials.

The Empire star revealed who would be designing her gown when she arrived at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday, after sharing the news that she will tie the knot with retired American footballer Kelvin Hayden in April 2020.

"Vera Wang is definitely making my dress. The wedding is 4/4/20, I leaked it," the 49-year-old told Access Hollywood. "We haven't pinpointed the silhouette yet."

Taraji recently confirmed she won't have bridesmaids or a maid of honour, and is determined for her big day to be an intimate affair with really good food.

"I told my wedding planner, 'Make it pretty, fun, make sure the food is good and a bomb DJ.' No bridal party, I'm not a bridezilla... please, I just want to say my vows in front of the people that I love. Eat good food and have fun. That's it!" she laughed during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Taraji and Kelvin were due to wed over the summer, but the Oscar-nominated actress took some well-deserved time off to enjoy herself instead.

"A wedding you have to plan in a year... I'm just going to take this summer and be normal, take a vacation - a couple, a few - I have a girlfriends' trip coming up, then me and my fiance have to do something (sic)," the actress explained.

Taraji, who has son Marcell Johnson, 25, with late high school sweetheart William Johnson, began dating Kelvin in 2015. The couple got engaged last year.
