Tracee Ellis Ross showcased no less than 12 different looks, all of which included pieces by black designers, at the American Music Awards last night. She was hosted the awards for the second year in the row.As part of her introductory speech at the annual awards ceremony, the 45-year-old ‘Black-ish’ actor announced to the audience: “I will feature black designers in all of my looks tonight.” The stylish star then proceeded to live-tweet her outfits to 1.06 million followers on her account @TraceeEllisRoss throughout the night. She gave every designer who contributed to her looks some well-deserved recognition – a definite contrast to those celebrities who refuse to talk about their red carpet looks. Tracee Ellis Ross got a standing ovation when she won her Golden Globe tonight, and her acceptance speech deserved another one. Ross, who won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (musical or comedy) for her role in Black-ish, is the first black woman to win in that category since 1983.
