    The actress Charmian Carr, best known for her role as Liesl Von Trapp from the musical ‘The Sound of Music’, has died at the age of 73. Carr played the eldest daughter of the Von Trapp family, famously singing the song ‘Sixteen Going On Seventeen’, though she was was in fact 21 when she won the role, starring opposite Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.
