    Disney record their most successful box office year ever

    Disney are going from strength to strength when it comes to their movie output but with two months of 2016 left they’ve already had their best ever year. While ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ isn’t part of the episodic instalments, the spin-off is still predicted to do very well. The question is, will it go toe-to-toe with last year’s ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’?

    Star Wars Accident “Could Have Killed” Harrison Ford

    The production company set up by Disney to make ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ has pleaded guilty to two criminal charges over the on-set accident that lead to Harrison Ford breaking his leg. According to the BBC, Foodles Production (UK) Ltd admitted to two of the four criminal charges brought by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court earlier today, and will be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on 22 August.

    ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ has finally ended its theatrical run in the US with a record domestic box office tally of $936,662,225. It means Disney failed to top $1 billion at the US box office on its first run, but it has still made $170m more than 'Avatar’ the second highest grossing film in the US. 'The Force Awakens’ total box office haul sits at roughly $2,068,200 (via Collider) - $110m shy of 'Titanic’, which sits second on the all-time list of box office grosses, below 'Avatar’.
