Top designer Chelsea Scott-Blackhall: Daughter of The Singapore Girl's creator
Skeptics may question Chelsea Scott-Blackhall’s nationality because of her Caucasian looks. Together with French couturier Pierre Balmain, he worked on the “ Sarong Kebaya” uniform and immortalised the look. “My nostalgia would lead me to not want to change a thing (about the Sarong Kebaya),” said Scott-Blackhall during a recent interview with Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore after the Singapore Fashion Awards (SGFA) took place on 24 November, where she had won Designer of the Year.

2017's was the last Singapore Fashion Week for founder Tjin Lee
Tjin Lee, founder of marketing and communications agency Mercury M&C, which organises Singapore Fashion Week, said this year’s edition is her last as the festival needs to “evolve” and “pivot”. Social media star Irene Kim made a surprise runway appearance at Singapore Fashion Week
This year, we spotted model and social media star Irene Kim (@ireneisgood) opening for the Exhibit show on Saturday night (28 October). The 29-year-old happens to be a close friend of the homegrown brand’s owner Yoyo Cao (@yoyokulala), who is also a fashion influencer. Irene Kim has been dubbed as the new face of the fashion world by many fashion publications and has amassed a million followers on Instagram.
