Fantastic Beasts reviews are in as critics hail Harry Potter spin-off
‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is arguably one of the most anticipated movies of 2016, and just a few days before release the first reviews are in. Fans have been getting pretty worked up for the ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off, especially since J.K. Rowling has written the screenplay (for the first time, no less). David Yates, helmer of several previous Potter adventures, is on directing duties and has just been confirmed to be in charge of all five movies in the new franchise.

Fantastic Beasts star Eddie Redmayne reveals he auditioned for Voldemort
Eddie Redmayne, star of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’, has revealed he once he once auditioned to play a young Voldemort in ’Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’. The Oscar-winning actor did so back in 2001, but lost out to Christian Coulson, who played the Hogwarts student who would become He Who Must Not Be Named: Tom Marvolo Riddle. “I actually auditioned to play Tom Riddle while I was at university,” Redmayne told Empire Magazine (issue 330).

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is now a five film franchise
It’s official - four more ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movies are on the way. During a live Q&A at the Fantastic Beasts Facebook Page, ‘Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling confirmed that the upcoming spin-off movie is the first in a five film franchise. “[J. K. Rowling] has just confirmed the magic continues in a total of FIVE MOVIES!” confirmed the film’s official Twitter feed.

Fantastic Beasts posters reveal Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows connection
Nine new posters for upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ have been released, focusing on the cast of new characters. In the poster pictured above starring Colin Farrell’s Percival Graves, the Deathly Hallows symbol can be seen hanging from a damaged building. In those starring Ezra Miller’s Credence and Ron Pearlman’s Gnarlack, there are Wanted posters hanging up featuring Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander and Dan Fogler’s Jacob Kowalski.
