The first trailer for the sixth Mission: Impossible film dropped during the Super Bowl and it made a big impression online.
Many movies just didn’t seem interesting, even though a few – “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” – were much anticipated. As before, we based our choices on the movies released in Singapore this year (in case you’re wondering why some US releases in late 2014 were included). Movies that didn’t make it to the list but deserve an honourable mention are: “Cinderella”, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” and “Straight Outta Compton”.
Temperatures might be hovering just under 100 degrees in New York City right now, but celebrities are sticking with a mid-winter palette of black, white, and navy. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation star Rebecca Ferguson wore a simple and sophisticated blue jumpsuit by Diane von Furstenberg to the film’s premiere. On the sweeter side, Kiernan Shipka chose a girly printed cocktail dress from Valentino for the Los Angeles premiere of The Gift.

Alec Baldwin (that’s one) is in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, his first summer action blockbuster, and to celebrate, he not only invited his wife, Hilaria Baldwin (two), who recently gave birth to the couple’s second child together (not present), but his daughter Ireland Baldwin (three), and some of her cousins (four and five).
