Milk Bottle Cows is one of the works being featured at the upcoming i Light Marina Bay festival. The annual i Light Marina Bay will return this year with its first foray into the civic district, extending beyond its usual foothold at Marina Bay. Organised by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), the sixth edition of the sustainable light art festival will include 6 installation works at Esplanade Park.
The Civic District was transformed into a nocturnal wonderland for Singapore Art Week’s marquee event Light to Night Festival. Spearheaded by National Gallery Singapore, the festival features facade projections titled Art Skins on Monuments across four cultural institutions – the National Gallery, the Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum, and Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall. Another projection is Chromascope by Spinifex Group at the City Hall facade where visitors can interact with the work by stepping on stomping pads at the Padang.
The Light to Night festival transforms the civic district with light installations, house of mirrors, music and dance performances. The facades of the four cultural institutions in the area are also lit up with projections of artworks by local creatives. (Video: Md Al-Hafiz Hosni)
