Taiwan’s biggest music streaming company, KKBOX, held its annual music awards show on Saturday (20 Jan) at the Kaoshiung Arena, where it honoured the most popular singers in the past year. The 13th KKBOX Music Awards show saw Mandopop royalty such as A-mei, JJ Lin and Rainie Yang perform a number of their hits on stage, with popular Hong Kong singer Eason Chan rounding off the show with a 15-minute medley of over ten of his songs. Nicholas Tse was another Hong Kong celebrity that made a special appearance at the show, marking his on-stage return as a musician. Taiwanese-Korean singer-songwriter Bii has already carved out a successful singing career in the Mandopop scene, and is actively working on his next challenge: acting.
Taiwanese-Korean heartthrob Bii will be back in Singapore for his “Bii With You LIVE in Singapore 2017” concert on 17 June. The 27-year-old was last in Singapore in December 2015 to promote the album “Unstoppable 3-Epochal Times” alongside label-mates Dino Lee and Ian Chen. Bii, whose real name is Pil Seo Jin, was born and raised in South Korea.
