'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' has been banned in Cambodia for its portrayal of the country as a crime haven.
At the age of 56, Hollywood actress Julianne Moore continues to be a powerful role model for many women around the world. Having starred in several memorable films such Hannibal and Children of Men, and recently being the face of new lingerie collection Florale by prominent brand Triumph, Moore has also been a strong supporter of planned parenthood.
The peaceful anti-Trump protest took place in NYC outside of Trump Tower.
In 2016, Annie Leibovitz took the Pirelli calendar in a new direction. Instead of featuring top models in lingerie, as in many of the previous 50 editions, the famed photographer shot Serena Williams, Tavi Gevinson, Yoko Ono, and other “strong but natural women who have achieved something.” The tire company called it a “radical and inspirational departure from previous years” — and for 2017, the pinups of calendars past are still sitting on the sidelines. Released on Tuesday, the new edition of “The Cal” stars 14 famous actresses, including Nicole Kidman, Lupita Nyong’o, Penélope Cruz, Jessica Chastain, Uma Thurman, Kate Winslet, Julianne Moore, Robin Wright, Rooney Mara, Léa Seydoux, Zhang Ziyi, and Charlotte Rampling.

Always stunning on the red carpet, Julianne Moore has piled on the decades for new movie ‘Wonderstruck’, currently filming in New York. The 'Hunger Games’ actress was snapped on set, sporting greying hair and thanks to some impressive make-up looking considerably older than her 55 years. The movie sees Moore re-teaming with 'Carol’ director Todd Haynes, whom she worked with on the acclaimed 2002 movie 'Far From Heaven’.
Not wishing to slight the success of this year’s ‘Deadpool,’ but you’d think from the overall reaction that it was the first 15/R-rated comic book movie to be a smash hit. Released in January 2015, director Matthew Vaughn’s live-action take on the comic book he co-conceived with Mark Millar - themselves the team behind earlier R-rated comic book movie ‘Kick-Ass’ - took $414.3 million worldwide (admittedly not quite so impressive as 'Deadpool’s $746 million). Now, a 'Kingsman’ sequel is in the works, bringing back Vaughn as director, Taron Egerton as chav-turned-secret agent Eggsy, and Mark Strong as mentor Merlin, plus two notable new co-stars in Halle Berry and Julianne Moore.
Made the mistake of doing it twice — three times. ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ is okay. Director Jonathan Demme’s film, based on Thomas Harris’s novel, went on to sweep the board at the Oscars, with best lead performance awards for both Jodie Foster and Hopkins - despite Hopkins having under 25 minutes of screen time.
Can we change the hashtag to #WomenCrushWednesday? Because on Tuesday night, L'Oreal celebrated a string of admirable women at their annual Women of Worth event in New York City. The extraordinary honorees included Karlie Kloss, who turned heads in a floor length white dress with floral cut-outs, Julianne Moore, and Freida Pinto, all faces of the brand who use their fame for good—and we couldn’t possibly choose just one. Last night, their noble work was acknowledged.
Since 2012 when the first Hunger Games came out, the stars of the series have walked countless red carpets around the world. In four years, characters have been killed off (the premise is based on teenagers annually killing each other in an arena for entertainment purposes after all) and new ones have entered — Julianne Moore, Natalie Dormer, and Jena Malone, to name a few, came into the fold later — but each has treated the press tour as seriously as they would a Victory Tour. See the movies! Or, even better, read the books!) Together, the cast toured the world promoting their film, making stops in Berlin, Paris, Madrid, and even Shanghai. Jennifer Lawrence wore a lot of Dior (with a few exceptions including a red blazer dress from Mugler in Spain), Josh Hutcherson displayed his man style (which is anything but ordinary, and Liam Hemsworth tried out some colorful suits. Following stops in Europe and Asia, the cast came stateside.
Before the Golden Lion was even awarded at the Venice Film Festival, actors were already making their way from Italy across multiple timezones to Ontario. The Toronto International Film Festival kicked off very fashionably and throughout the duration hasn’t stopped. Natalie Portman set the bar high attending the opening festivities in a Dior Couture floral mini dress and the hits kept on coming. The Martian’s star-studded cast on the red carpet including Kate Mara in a red A.L.C. jumpsuit, Matt Damon in head-to-toe black, and Jessica Chastain in a Lanvin LBD were all dressed to the nines.
