The violent world of John Wick could be set to become a bit of a 'universe', with a female-led action movie spin-off in the pipeline.
‘John Wick’ and its recent high-octane sequel are not films that a younger audience should be watching (that pencil scene, eugh), no matter how much they might want to grow up to be Keanu Reeves. What you can safely show them instead however is this wonderful fan-made film recreating the ‘Wick’ series’ balletic “gun-fu” style of combat with Nerf guns instead of actual, nasty guns. The result is incredibly well put-together, with fight choreography that might not match the illustrious work of the Hollywood films, but is close enough to remain seriously impressive.
‘John Wick 3’ could be more awesome than ever. During an episode of Meet the Movie Press, film journalist Simon Thompson revealed that he’s recently spoken to Samuel L. Jackson about a Nick Fury solo movie… but he’s far more interested in the ‘John Wick’ franchise.
Common is a Grammy-winning rapper, an Oscar-winning soundtrack contributor, and an increasingly prolific actor. Turns out they were all just warm-ups for John Wick: Chapter 2, the new hit sequel that pits Common against Keanu Reeves’s titular dog avenger in the most intensive action the rapper has faced. Common told Yahoo Movies about entering the hyper-violent realm of John Wick, how close he came to playing Green Lantern in George Miller’s ill-fated Justice League movie, and more.
