There’s a lot of chemistry, and no “spaghetti arms,” in this rare footage of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s Dirty Dancing screen test. This Yahoo Movies exclusive clip, taken from a new featurette on the 30th anniversary Dirty Dancing Blu-ray, shows the two stars getting to know each other as they work through some dance steps. Swayze, an experienced ballet dancer by the time he made the film, instructs Grey to lift her chest so he doesn’t hurt her ribs. “It hurts my ribs,” she replies, giggling, as Swayze gently puts her down.
Judging by the clip above, exclusive to Yahoo Movies, Lee (Casey Affleck) and Randi (Michelle Williams) are your average blue-collar married couple. She gives him grief for too much boozing on his daytime boat trip, he gets frustrated when she passes up her beer-bellied husband’s attempt at luring her into bed.

From jet packs to exploding pens, James Bond has historically enjoyed a plethora of gadgets to get him in and out of spy scrapes. In more recent years Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes have settled on a more realistic approach that sees Bond get by with a simple pistol. ‘SPECTRE’ saw a return to gadgetry with the tricked out Aston Martin whose flamethrower helped Bond escape from evil henchman Mr. Hinx.
Adriana Lima gets fitted for the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Photography by Joel Barhamand for Yahoo Style Last Tuesday, one week before the live taping of the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Adriana Lima —the lingerie giant’s longest standing Angel— was getting fitted for some wings. “I think that changed a lot in my career, and also how I carried myself on the runway—it was different.
Photography by Jessica Sample “You know how people often overuse the term ‘mixing and matching’ when they speak about getting dressed?” asks jewelry designer Irene Neuwirth. “That’s my approach to the way I decorate my house.” Neuwirth shares her home, located in the beach town of Venice, California, with her long-term boyfriend, film director Phil Lord (best known for the Jump Street films), and their adorable labradoodle, Teddy. An L.A. native, Neuwirth designs colorful boho-style pieces that she describes as “uniquely modern yet heavily sophisticated.” When she launched her company in 2003, her designs were quickly picked up by Barneys New York, and soon after she earned a loyal following among cool girls like Rihanna, Reese Witherspoon, and Jennifer Lawrence.
Photography by Alisha Goldstein Styling by Hayley Atkin Hair by Dennis Gots Makeup by Shane Paish Production by Rosco Production Since she was born in 1994, actress Aurora Perrineau wasn’t around to revel in the now classic cartoon Jem and the Holograms when it aired from 1985 to ’88. Generation Xers will recall that it followed a record store owner named Jerrica Benton, whose alter ego was a pink-haired rocker who performed on the side with her band. For the live-action film version, out on Oct. 23, Perrineau is stepping into the glittering shoes to play one of Jem’s three bandmates, Shana. I was going to say ‘no’ to the audition because singing was required, and my grandma was like, ‘You need to go, it’s an opportunity.’” Perrineau auditioned six times before being cast alongside Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott and Hayley Kiyoko in the modern adaptation, which is set in the era of YouTube stars and is produced by Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun.

Photography by Cyrille George Jerusalmi Putting together a memorable fashion show is not unlike creating a film— it requires solid production, good casting, costume design in the form of ready-to-wear (or couture), and a kick-ass soundtrack. The latter is where 55-year-old French sound director Michel Gaubert comes in. Gaubert, a native of Paris, admits to having a love for music from a young age, using whatever pocket money he had to buy records. By the time the late ’70s and early ’80s came around, he spent heady nights deejaying at Le Palace (aka Paris’s version of Studio 54).
In menswear, it seems, the hottest trend is womenswear. While designers like Public School have been flirting with androgyny for years — dropping pants crotches into quasi-skirts and T-shirt hems into demi-tunics, all with an insouciant tongue extended at the Mad Men look — some of the newest acclaimed designers have gone full-out ambisexual. One of them is 29-year-old Rio Joe Uribe, the creative force behind Gypsy Sport, which made a splash during the last New York Fashion Week Men’s in July, and again on Tuesday night during the women’s collections. He’s been nominated for the prestigious CFDA /Vogue Fashion Fund Award for menswear, alongside Thaddeus O’Neil (one of his brethren in gender-blurred designs), and David Hart.
Later this year, Netflix will premiere its next Marvel series, Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter as a failed New York-based superhero who reinvents herself as a private detective. Patsy is poised for a breakout beyond Jessica Jones. Marvel, which has been dramatically expanding and diversifying its comics roster over the past two years, continues apace with the launch of the female-led Patsy Walker, aka Hellcat!, written by Kate Leth and illustrated by Brittney Williams.
