How far did Moana go from the initial drawing-board version? With the Oscar-contending animated hit heading home (the Digital HD version arrives Tuesday while the Blu-ray/DVD hits shelves on March 7), Yahoo Movies has an exclusive deleted scene (watch it above) that shows how the title heroine evolved as a character. As they set up the clip, directors Ron Clements (the one with the beard) and John Musker reveal where it originally had fit in the film.

It’s been 20 years since Renée Zellweger told Tom Cruise, “You had me at hello.” To celebrate the anniversary of Jerry Maguire (which opened on Dec. 13, 1996), Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has released a new Blu-ray edition of Cameron Crowe’s feel-good drama, including nearly an hour of deleted and extended scenes. As Jerry strikes out on his own, his fiancée Avery (Kelly Preston, soon to be replaced in Jerry’s affections by Renée Zellweger’s character) gives him a not-so-helpful pep talk.

Bad Moms heroine Amy (Mila Kunis), a mother of two, doesn’t have time for any nonsense — particularly from her husband Mike (David Walton), whom she discovers is having an internet affair. Bad Moms was a surprise hit in a summer riddled with big-budget franchise flops. The film, starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn, received mostly-good reviews and grossed over $100 million on a $20 million budget, thanks to a mostly-female audience.

In last year’s The Martian, astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) survives alone on Mars for over a year before his dramatic rescue by NASA colleagues. Despite the vast scope of director Ridley Scott’s sci-fi film — which was nominated for 7 Oscars — about 10 minutes of footage was left on the cutting room floor. Those deleted scenes can be seen for the first time in The Martian Extended Edition, available on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital HD and DVD on June 7.
