Fendi reveals new shades with rising star Kiesza
The Italian luxury brand has teased details of a new eyewear campaign starring up-and-coming Canadian singer Kiesza.
"Hideaway" singer Kiesza, was the star guest at a Fendi party in Cannes which celebrated the 'secret' Fendi video which will appear in June, starring the pop star, and showing off the Fendi Color Block Sunglasses collection for Summer 2014.
Directed by Ruth Hogben, who has previously created films for Fendi as well as Gareth Pugh, Louis Vuitton and Dior, the video sees Kiesza dancing along New York City skylines in an explosion of color which references the colored and transparent acetate layers in the Fendi Color Block eyewear.
"It was really amazing for me to be part of this video, Ruth Hogben is an amazing and strong woman," said Kiesza. "It's something that I've never done before, something completely new. Wearing the FENDI clothes and Sunglasses was an exciting experience. I love fashion, I love to go into different shapes and I love to try new things. I like to see myself in ways I've never seen before. In the end it was really interesting because it was totally me," she added.
The Calgary-born and New York City-based singer originally trained as a ballerina before spending time in the Canadian navy and then launching her pop career.
