JYJ’s Micky Yoochun diagnosed with pancreatitis

Korean singer-actor Park Yoochun, best known for being one-third of Korean idol group JYJ and a former member of TVXQ, was recently hospitalized. The "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" actor, who was filming his latest drama, MBC's "Goodbye Miss Ripley" at the time of his hospitalization, was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.

A statement released by his management company CJeS Entertainment expressed that his "schedules of working abroad on his concert, as well as the drama itself, may have affected his immune levels." Yoochun will spend the next few days resting at home before returning to filming "Goodbye Miss Ripley" with actresses Kang Hye Jung and Lee Da Hae. The pilot episode of the drama based on the story of Shin Jeong Ah, a former professor who was caught faking her academic records, is set to air sometime in May 2011.

Incidentally, JYJ is currently in rehearsals for their "World Tour Concert," which will cover ten cities in seven different countries across two continents. The boys are set to visit a number of Asian countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia as well as the United States and Canada including stops in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and Vancouver.

With this incredibly packed schedule, let us hope that Yoochun will truly be able to recuperate completely before his upcoming activities.
