A bento manufacturer in Shizuoka said its bento was very Instagrammable. Food is among one of the top few things people post on Instagram. Solely the hashtag #food already documented more than 240 million Instagram posts.

One of the interesting things to experience in Japan is their eki ben, where eki means station and ben is the short form of bento. Japan is well-known for its high cost of living, but bentos usually cost around 1,000 yen (about S$12). The bento consists of three quality-looking, different thick beef steaks, apparently more than one person can eat.
