Not everyone is impressed with the Apple Watch. It has been valiantly charting consumers' relationship with and attitudes towards the Apple Watch since it went on sale in March as a means of providing an ‘independent voice' among the tech journalists and tech companies that are hyping smartwatches. In September it conducted a poll of 2000 Apple Watch owners and found that although wearers most commonly used the device for monitoring activity and, perhaps unsurprisingly, telling the time, that there was a 97% satisfaction rate among early adopters after three months' use.

Her red polka dot T-shirt even matches the Minnie Mouse background on her watch! But for more serious times, a navy blue fit-and-flare dress pairs well with an Hermès band. Lake Bell and Scott Campbell demonstrate that the watch is useful for married types in need of updates from the babysitter on date night.

Angela Ahrendts came to the company from Burberry to head up retail, Paul Deneve, the former CEO of Yves Saint Laurent, made the move to Silicon Valley, and Patrick Pruniaux was the vice president of global sales and retail at Tag Heuer before he left tickers for tech. The announcement of the Apple Watch in September 2014 even drew front row regulars away from their seats at New York Fashion Week; they chose the press conference in California instead. And on Monday, the love affair was officially solidified when Apple’s collaboration with Hermès hit stores.
