Sylvia Sanchez wants a break after "Hanggang Saan"

The actress needs to recharge so that she can give her best performance for her next project

19 Apr – Now that her series "Hanggang Saan" is nearing to a close, Sylvia Sanchez revealed that she would like to take a short break from acting.

As reported on Push, the actress who plays the role of desperate mother Sonya Alipio in the said drama, believes that she needs more time to rest after playing emotional characters back to back.

She previously starred as the Alzheimer-stricken Gloria in the long running melodrama, "The Greatest Love".

"I'm tired, drained. I need to cry wholeheartedly and every scene is filled with emotions," she said, adding that she hopes to recharge so that she could give her best performance in her next project.

Sanchez also hopes to play a different kind of character in future dramas, just so that she won't be boxed in with the same characters.

"Don't get me wrong. I am grateful to play Sonia and Gloria. What I mean here is that I need to [show something else]. I want to come back with a different look," she said.

If given the choice, Sanchez said that she would like to try play a villain for a change.
