Susan Sarandon prefers wearing androgynous tuxedos to “revealing” dresses on the red carpet.
The Oscar-winning actress has embraced a different style as she enters her 70s and wants to be more comfortable with what she's wearing when attending premieres and Hollywood events.
"I’m definitely more interested in tuxedos on the red carpet than revealing dresses that have to be managed more carefully," she told U.S. InStyle magazine.
Susan’s go-to brand of footwear is Roger Vivier, and she prefers wearing the French luxury label's colourful creations when she's planning her outfit.
"I welcome the idea of the dressy boots that the brand has created," she explained. "But, when I do decide to put on a cocktail dress, I like a pop of colour at my feet."
The 73-year-old reserves different types of shoes for special occasions and ditches heels for everyday wear while out and about in New York City, but opts for original shoe designs by Roger Vivier that "have a sense humour" when on the red carpet.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Thelma & Louise star confessed that she likes shopping online for clothes because she's "very lazy," but avoids doing it when she's been drinking.
"The only tip about online shopping is to abstain from middle of the night online shopping, especially when you’ve been drinking or smoking," she laughed.
