Supermarkets open for Chinese New Year 2020 in Singapore!

Christmas holidays have come and passed and now the Lunar New Year is fast approaching. With just a couple of weeks to prepare for the festive occasion, you’re probably wondering are there any supermarkets open for Chinese New Year 2020 in Singapore?

Whether it’s for buying ahead, or for emergency purchases you need on the days of Chinese New Year, we have you covered. Here’s are the operating hours of some of the major supermarkets for CNY this year!

NTUC CNY 2020 Operating Hours

114 NTUC FairPrice stores will be open on the first day of CNY, Saturday 25 January 2020. In addition, 51 outlets will be open til midnight in the week leading up to the Lunar New Year.

All FairPrice outlets will are business as usual Sunday 26 January 2020, the second day of Chinese New Year, except the MacPherson Mall outlet.

The MacPherson Mall outlet will resume business on Monday 27 January 2020.

From 24 to 26 January, FairPrice Online will continue deliveries between 8am to 6pm. Regular delivery timings will resume on 27 January.

Giant CNY Opening Hours 2020

Meanwhile, at Giant, selected stores are extending their operating hours before Chinese New Year 2020. All stores will be operating as usual during the Chinese New Year Holidays!

Cold Storage CNY Opening Hours 2020

Cold Storage stores will have extended hours as early as a week before Chinese New Year from 17 to 23 January.

All stores are open on the eve (24 January) of Chinese New Year, while most stores remain open for the first and second day of Chinese New Year. Cold Storage outlets at One North, Takashimaya, Marina One and Marina Bay Link Mall will be closed on both days.
