Shoe brand Superga and influencer Andrea Chong, or better known as Drea, embark on their third partnership together with the Essentials collection.
Going back to basics, the collection introduces two new styles in the classic canvas material – the Slingback and Ballerina.
A rework of the Superga 2402 Mule, the number of eyelets on the sneaker has been decreased from five to three, in a flattering feminine silhouette.
The soles are then minimised in height to give the sneakers a graceful outlook. A back strap with adjustable tonal buckle is then added to the cutaway back, allowing for flexibility in terms of fit.
The sneakers come in the iconic Espadrille soles, complemented with an everyday canvas upper, and details are kept to a minimum. The construction keeps to the same low profile as the slingbacks, with only three sets of eyelets per sneaker.
Inspired by Drea’s day to day go-tos, the colourways are selected to reflect her style: fresh laundry, weekend bakes, garden party and lavender mist.
Superga will be donating 5% of sales from this collection to Free Food for All, a community-led charity that provides free food to the less fortunate and empowers them to become contributing members of society.
Superga X Drea Chong retails for S$139.90 and will launch on the 17th of July 2020 at 10am, exclusively online at superga.com.sg.
