Sorry Malaysian ELFs, "Super Show 8" won't be held this year.

29 MaySorry, sorry, sorry, sorry (ELFs know how this song goes) ...but the Malaysian leg of Super Junior's "Super Show 8" world tour has officially been cancelled.

"Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 8: Infinite Time in Kuala Lumpur" was originally scheduled to be held at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil on 1 March 2020.

Back in February, when events worldwide begun facing cancellation or postponement due to growing concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the South Korean idol group was among the entertainers that had to make changes to their tour schedule as well.

The concert in Malaysia was postponed that month with no new date set, though the venue was expected to remain the same.

Now, organiser Star Planet has confirmed that the concert's status has been updated to "cancelled".

"Despite much efforts made by all participating parties to continue with the event, mutual agreements have been reached that the rescheduled event will not happen within the year due to the present COVID19 pandemic and its impacts. The travel restrictions and various uncertainties in the length of government's ban on mass gatherings have made immediate future not conducive for live concerts," the organiser said in a press statement.

All refunds will be processed starting from 11 June 2020.
