Sunny Chan hopes to return to TVB

24 May - Hong Kong actor Sunny Chan believes that TVB's decision to air his old drama, "Phoenix Rising" is a good thing for him, as it will increase his chance to return to the station.

As reported on Mingpao, Sunny, who previously left the company to join Ricky Wong's HKTV, shared bluntly that his contract with HKTV is expiring in February next year, and that he has been worrying about his livelihood.

"I hope the drama will have good ratings," he said.

Sunny admitted he would love to make his TVB comeback, although TVB has yet to make such an offer to him.

"[TVB Executive] Catherine Tsang did contact me. But that was so that I could attend promotional events for this drama," he said.

Sunny, whose last drama was HKTV's "Doom +5", filmed "Phoenix Rising" back in 2006. Although it was aired internationally, it was never broadcast in Hong Kong, until TVB recently decided to air it on TVB Jade after more than 11 years.
