Vegans will no longer have to lust over their colleague’s glorious Subway at lunchtime, as the sandwich giant has finally introduced plant-based additions to its menu.
Today, Subway launched two permanent vegan options which include a classic sub and salad – both of which are now available in store.
First up, there’s the Vegan Sub which features a patty made from red pepper, spicy chilli, garlic and red onion – a delicious bid to prove that veggie options needn’t be “beige, bland and boring”.
In true Subway fashion, you’ll also be able to the add all-new vegan garlic aioli too.

While the salad is made from the very same recipe – just minus the carbs for those of you watching your waistline in the run-up to Easter.
Prices kick-start from £3.80 and the vegan menu is now available nationwide.
Though the American fast food company is not the first to venture into veganism, as Greggs launched its debut vegan sausage roll back in January 2019.

The twist on an old favourite proved a huge success with the snack catapulting sales by 9.6% in just seven weeks.
Most recently, Burger King jumped on the meat-free bandwagon by launching a vegan version of its famous ‘Whopper’ burger.
Though the soaring trend comes as no surprise, as there are more than 3.5 million vegans in the UK alone, according to a recent survey.
