STX President of Marketing Jack Pan Steps Down

STX president of marketing Jack Pan will be leaving the company to attend to a family matter.

Eddie Egan will step in as interim head of the department. An STX spokesperson said, “Jack informed us that he will be leaving the company to devote more time helping care for his family. He has been a valued colleague and an outstanding member of our launch team.”

Egan has been working with STX since July as a senior marketing consultant; he was previously president of domestic marketing for Universal Pictures and head of marketing for Illumination Entertainment. Pan and Egan will work together on the transition.

“Our heartfelt wishes are extended to Jack and his entire family,” the spokesperson’s statement concluded.

Pan worked on the releases of STX films including “The Gift,” “The Boy,” and “Bad Moms.” He joined STX in September of 2014 from Summit, where he worked on the “Twilight” and “Divergent” franchises.

“Bad Moms” has grossed more than $165 million worldwide. STX’s upcoming titles include “Desierto,” “The Edge of Seventeen” and “The Space Between Us.”
