Student Academy Award Winners Unveiled
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have selected 17 students as winners of the 43rd Student Academy Awards. The awards ceremony is set for September 22 at he Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where gold, silver and bronze medals in the seven categories will be announced.
The Academy said it received a record 1,749 film submissions this year from 286 domestic and 95 international colleges and universities. The winners are eligible to compete for 2016 Oscars in the Documentary Short Subject, Animated Short Film or Live Action Short Film categories.
