Steven Ma hopes to nurture more young talents
18 May – Although he has been working with many talented and experienced actresses throughout his career, Steven Ma recently revealed that he has plans to nurture new talents through his future stage plays.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actor, who is currently busy preparing for the next production of his self-written play, "Xu Zhimo", said that he is producing a new stage play next year that will involve newcomers.
"I do not measure whether an artiste is good or bad based on their qualifications. I look at their enthusiasm, spirit, and attitude [towards the arts]," he said.
Steven said that it is necessary for the industry to have more new faces to create new spark.
"We need to give young people more opportunities," he added.
His upcoming play is set to be staged in June, while Steven's new drama, "Deep in the Realm of Conscience" will premiere on 21 May.
