Steven Ma admits still struggling from panic disorder

5 Dec– Hong Kong actor-turned-director Steven Ma recently revealed that he is still struggling with panic disorder, 20 years since he developed the condition due to his mother's passing.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who sat down for an interview alongside his "Till We Meet Again" co-star Josephine Koo recently, shared that he still relies on medicine to help him cope with his said mental health issue.

"In the years since my mother passed away in 1999, I suffered from depression and panic disorder. During the most severe period of my depression, I also worked a lot in TVB and to some extent, it was good to be that busy as it was distracting," he said.

Steven slowly improved from depression from reaffirming his faith in 2017. However, the actor admitted that he is still taking medication for his panic disorder.

Nonetheless, he also admitted that his faith has made him more determined to do good things in this world.

"Even if I die now, I won't have any regrets. As long as I do something every day and do my best to complete it, there is nothing to regret," he said.
