Stephen Au doesn't need surgery for injury to his arm

22 Sep - Hong Kong actor Stephen Au is relieved that he will not have to undergo surgery for his injured arm.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, whose arm is still in cast when he appeared at an event recently, shared that he was rehearsing on stage when he slipped and thought that he broke his arm.

However, after consulting a doctor about the injury, he was told that there is no need for surgery since nothing was broken.

Stephen also shared that his arm will be in a cast for a while for his own benefit, and that he will be seeing the doctor again in three weeks to see if he is ready for physical therapy.

Nonetheless, the actor stated that he is still rehearsing for his stage show, although one of the scenes had to be cut out since it involves him doing an action that will need both of his hands.

When asked if other jobs had to be postponed because of it, Stephen said that he had to postpone an advertisement shoot because of it.

As to whether the injury has affected his daily routine, Stephen asked, "Have you tried living with just one hand? I need my wife for everything right now. I feel like I'm in a nursing home."
