Stephanie Ho forgoes quarantine after testing negative for COVID-19

3 Apr - Stephanie Ho is back to working again several days after she was tested negative for COVID-19.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who appeared at a radio station to promote her new single, stated that she had previously consulted a doctor about her case, and was told that she did not need to go on quarantine for 14 days.

"Since I had not travelled outside the country recently or even be in contact with a person with the diagnosis, there is no need for self-isolation," she said, adding that fiance Fred Cheng is also attending events as usual.

Stephanie also admitted that she had a hard time at first back when she first suspected that she had the disease.

"While waiting for the test result, I was in a bad mood all the time. I hid myself in the room and kept crying. I wasn't worried about getting sick with the virus. I was concerned that if I was indeed sick, I could have infected others around me, young and old," she said.

Stephanie said that Fred was her beacon of hope at the time, as the singer would continue to encourage her and tell her not to worry too much.

"When the result was out and confirmed that it was not the coronavirus, I happily embraced him," she said.

The singer added that while she is happy to have tested negative, she will make sure not to go out as much except for work-related events and to avoid contact with other people.
