Stefanie Sun gets more creative during the pandemic

2 Feb – Stefanie Sun recently revealed that she has found the silver lining in the current pandemic - the ability to nourish her creative side again.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who spoke to the media to promote her new song, "What Remains" on 1 February, shared that she found that too much travelling had actually supressed her creativity.

She had since become more introspective since the pandemic - as she had to stay home and have more time to think about everything.

"Now that I have more inspiration, I started creating again," she said.

Stefanie also revealed that her new song is the product of her flipping through the memories she had and listening to other people's stories for inspiration, including one moving story about a guitarist who turned to landscaping jobs to make ends meet.

"What's important is that when you know you can do something, you just do it. Just go for it," she said.

Aside from penning her own song, Stefanie stated that she has also been spending more time with her family, adding that her kids are happy to be able to be with their mother every day.

"I also like to cut hair. I taught everybody how to cut hair in a vlog before. I have been cutting friends' hair recently now that the Lunar New Year is about to come," she added.

Stefanie has an eight-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter with her Dutch-Indonesian businessman husband Nadim van der Ros. The couple married in 2011.
